In line with NAD’s environmental concerns, here is a good example of an artwork on ecological issues. This video of the World Wide Fund for Nature (WWF), created and produced in the Arab Emirates (UAE) by the Aya agency, has taken the trophy for Best Promotional Animation at the North America's Premier Animation Festival: Ottawa International Animation Festival (OIAF).

Encourage, creatively, people to reduce their individual carbon footprint was the challenge... The goal was achieved through this video that motivates the change in consumer habits to reduce carbon dioxide emissions and presents the advantages of national products consumption.

Here is an example of a good advertising campaign that combines the creativity of an artist to photography technology and advertising. Very interesting!

The concept of using hands, body parts arguably communicators and whose expressiveness crosses all cultures, is here well used, in a versatile way. The result is the approach of telecommunications technology to the potential consumer with a language both human and customized to each countryand each culture.

Several images. No camera. Two techniques that take us to the beginning of Photography History...

No, you don't need a camera to capture an image. Here is an example of a photo taken using a basic process called pinhole - one of the two techniques used.

The complete collection can be seen in NAD Design Café.

‘Pencils’ can sometime be more useful other than simply writing, sketching, taking down notes etc. What if you see a pencil being used as an artwork itself? During the process of preparing an artwork, a pencil is used as a medium to bring down the imagination to reality but what happens when an artist use ‘Pencil’ as his ‘Canvas’. The result which comes up is as astonishing as Michelangelo’s work who once said that:

“I saw an angel in the marble and carved until I set him free”

Here, we have got one such craftsman who uses pencil, instead of canvas to bring out his creation into the real world…

“Thefuntheory.com” is a site dedicated to the thought that something as simple as fun is the easiest way to change people’s behavior for the better.

“Piano Stairs” is one of this fun “educational” projects. Very well done!

”Take the stairs instead of the escalator or elevator and feel better” is something we often hear or read in the Sunday papers. Few people actually follow that advice. Can we get more people to take the stairs over the escalator by making it fun to do? See the results here.

An inspirational video about screen technology, made in Sweden by TAT - The Astonishing Tribe. The vision of a near future that presents extensible touch screens as daily life facilitators.

“Challenging the Future of User Interfaces” is their ‘work motif’. They have passion for “developing stunning visual experiences in the form of mobile user interfaces, combining the best of aesthetics with technology.”

“... an ‘experience video’, that shows a normal day in a couple of years when all these technologies are affordable enough to be used everywhere.”
