July 16th, friday, at 9 pm, NAD Design Café is hosting its first lecture.

This lecture is based on the development and purpose of illustration and also on the exploration of Comics, from concept to publication.

Our guest is António Valjean, actually a concept artist and an iilustrator at Ydreams

Valjean has a degree in Communication Design by the Fine Arts Faculty at the Lisbon University. António Valjean has also an interesting professional path.

From journalism to publicity, he recently edited an illustrated book with historical figures from Portuguese history by request of the Lagos History Museum. Besides this, he also experienced recently the branch of cientific illustration by request of the Castelo Branco Interpretation Centre by drawing the endangered animal species at the Internacional Tejo Natural Park.

Entertainment is other of his fields of work as he creates educational games for children, such as "The little explorers Jaime and Matilde", specially designed for the Ministry of Education, or in theatre games for playful sessions in Ydreams, such as Speed Dating and Space Dog.

We think that we have given you excellent reasons for not missing NAD Design Café first lecture.

See bellow some examples of António Valjean's work.
